Here is a detailed itinerary for a trip to McLeodganj:

Day 1:

  • Start your day by visiting the Namgyal Monastery, which opens at 6:00 AM. Witness the morning prayer ceremony and explore the stunning architecture.

  • Head to the Bhagsu waterfall, which opens at 7:00 AM. Enjoy a scenic hike through the picturesque landscapes of McLeodganj.

  • Visit the Dalai Lama Temple Complex, which opens at 5:00 AM. Learn about Tibetan culture and spirituality.

  • Satisfy your hunger pangs with delicious Tibetan cuisine at one of the many local eateries.

  • Spend your evening exploring the local markets and shopping for souvenirs.

  • End your day by enjoying the serene sunset view from the Sunset Point, which closes at 7:00 PM.

Day 2:

  • Wake up early and head to Triund, a popular trekking spot located at a height of 2,827 meters. It's a moderate trek that takes about 3-4 hours, and the breathtaking views from the top are definitely worth the effort.
