2-Day Shimla Itinerary: Explore the Best of the Queen of Hills

Day 1:

9:00 AM - 10:00 AM: Arrive in Shimla and check into your hotel.

10:00 AM - 11:00 AM: Breakfast at the hotel.

11:00 AM - 1:00 PM: Visit the Viceregal Lodge, a magnificent colonial building with beautiful architecture and sprawling lawns. Open from

10:00 AM to 5:00 PM (closed on Mondays).

1:00 PM - 2:00 PM: Lunch at a local restaurant.

2:00 PM - 4:00 PM: Head to the Mall Road, the main shopping area in Shimla, and explore the various shops and cafes. You can also visit the Christ Church, one of the oldest churches in India, located on the Mall Road. Open from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

4:00 PM - 6:00 PM: Visit the Scandal Point, a popular meeting place for locals and tourists alike, offering stunning views of the surrounding hills.

6:00 PM - 8:00 PM: Dinner at a local restaurant.


Day 2:

8:00 AM - 9:00 AM: Breakfast at the hotel.

9:00 AM - 11:00 AM: Visit the Jakhu Temple, a beautiful temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman, located on top of the Jakhu Hill. Open from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

11:00 AM - 1:00 PM: Visit the Kufri, a beautiful hill station located 20 km away from Shimla. You can enjoy horse riding and skiing here. Open from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

1:00 PM - 2:00 PM: Lunch at a local restaurant.

2:00 PM - 4:00 PM: Visit the Himalayan Bird Park, a nature park featuring a wide variety of birds and animals, including the Himalayan Monal, the state bird of Himachal Pradesh. Open from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM (closed on Mondays).

4:00 PM - 6:00 PM: Explore the Shimla Ridge, a large open space located in the heart of Shimla, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.

6:00 PM - 8:00 PM: Dinner at a local restaurant.
